April snow this morning

April cool but warmer than March. Still lots of rain.

Red-legged frog at pond's edge.  They have not been seen much lately due to the cool weather.  First tadpoles of the season seen last week.

Trilliums started blooming about a week ago. Late start this year too.

Warmer weather and more rain for March.  Frog and salamander eggs continue to increase and mature.

Late snow fall today.  Snow and colder than average.  Late for this much snow in this part of the country.

The Red-Legged frogs are busy depositing their eggs in the pond.  New clusters practically every day. Weather has been unusally dry for last three weeks or so.  Nights are cold, below freezing, for last week which has slowed the egg laying progress.
